Sur le compte Instagram Tendre Roméo, nous plongeons dans les pensées et les souvenirs se chevauchant dans la tête de son propriétaire. Jouant avec les mots comme personne, ce dernier nous fait part de ses bulles qui sont malicieuses, nostalgiques, espiègles, parfois tendres et romantiques.

Décidément, et contrairement à ce que racontent les stéréotypes et les clichés, les garçons sont de grands romantiques ! Après “Tendre Roméo”, nous en avons une nouvelle fois la preuve avec le compte “Garçon de Passage“.

“Three years ago, I saw a video of this girl singing on YouTube and my jaw literally hit the floor 🤤. So I left my first and only comment on YouTube that said, “Are you real? If so, I think I just fell in love.” I followed her on Instagram but she didn’t follow me back so two weeks later I got butthurt and unfollowed her. But I still had my eye on her because uhhh … look at her!! 😍 Then I saw that she moved from Nashville to LA because I’m a creep and I knew how to find those kinds of things out. So long story short, a year ago we met for the first time. We were both at an event called First Friday. It’s basically a roundup of a bunch of food trucks on this cool street in Venice. And of course she had no idea who I was but ohh I knew who she was. I was so nervous haha. But here we are, an entire year later, and I managed to trick her into marrying me. On January 26th of this year, I got what I wanted for my birthday; an engagement to the lovely Ellee Duke. Ell is my 5’11 tall drink of water and boy did I have to climb to the top of the tree to get her. It’s cool how small moments can lead to huge, life-altering things. So thanks for changing my life, Ellee. I wouldn’t have it any other way. My wife is a superstar. 🤩 Her passion for what she does is inspiring, her talent is miraculous, her ability to captivate an audience is uncanny … and I get to watch it all@from the front row of her life just like 🤤. So huge shoutout to whoever it was that shared her YouTube video on Facebook three years ago. Little did they know that that was the first time I saw my future wife, from the other side of the screen! I’m the luckiest guy alive.”

Pat and Sam met 64 years ago in England. Pat was working as a secretary at the same college where Sam was studying to be a heart surgeon. Sam (92) is almost completely blind and Pat (91) is living in a nursing home with dementia. Every single day, Sam visits Pat. Although Sam’s vision is basically limited to colored shapes, he navigates his way to the elevator and up to Pat’s room with ease. After taking the same path so many times, it’s become automatic for him with aid of only a walking stick. When he arrives, he walks up to Pat and says, “Hello my dear,” and then kisses her on the forehead – another routine he has memorized. Then they go and sit in the same chair together- a chair the nursing staff have deemed “The Sam and Pat Love Seat.” Pat told me that her favorite thing about Sam is how dependable he’s always been. This was quite apparent to see. When it was time for us to leave, Sam lead the way to the elevator where he turned and kissed her on the forehead again and said, “I’ll see you tomorrow my dear.” As dependable as always. *Pat recently passed away after this story was written. “I met Eric when we were both working at clothing stores on Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles. He worked two stores down from me, and we would always see each other from a distance. He finally approached me one day and said, “You are beautiful. You look like the kind of girl who listens to good music and smokes good weed.” Then he asked me out and I was so excited that I tripped over myself and broke the wedge right off my shoe. (These were heavily studded Jeffrey Campbell wedges, which were totally my vibe back then.) It was so embarrassing. I still had a few hours left of my shift, so I ended up having to scoot around with a broken shoe the rest of the day. But 6 years later, I scooted my way down the aisle as his bride and now we’re married. Eric is a musician and I’m a clothing designer. Having two creatives in a relationship can be challenging at times in terms of stability, but I don’t think either of us would feel fulfilled being with someone who didn’t identify with that lifestyle. Some might think it would be easier if only one of us was the creative, but we don’t see it that way. We inspire each other daily. For example, Eric will play music in the house that brings me back to a certain time period in which I’ll draw fashion inspiration from. Or Eric’s songwriting will be inspired by the love we share or hurdles we’ve faced together. It works in our favor because we feel no one knows the artistic mind better than a fellow artistic. We also motivate each other. When one of us is in a creative upswing, it inspires the other one of us to hustle. We’ve realized that by encouraging each other, we raise our collective energy. Of course, there have been times where we’ve faced challenges with financial stability, but we’ll take on side jobs when things are slow. The uncertainty of being an artist can definitely be scary at times, but for us, the only thing that would be scarier is not pursuing what we love. We feel lucky that we can always count on each other. Even when one of us is feeling insecure, we’re able to find security in just knowing the other person is there. #5 – ShinLiArt

C’est en 2016 que ce compte Instagram a fait beaucoup de bruit sur la toile. Et pour cause, son concept est aussi original que romantique. Il prend naissance lorsque les deux amoureux à l’origine de ce compte qui vivaient alors une histoire à longue distance, trouvent l’idée de se “réunir” en photographie. L’un est est à Séoul, l’autre à New-York, 7 000 kilomètres les séparent. Chacun, de son côté, prend un auto-portrait dans la même pose que le second et dans un contexte similaire. Puis, grâce à un collage, ils rassemblent les deux images pour se rapprocher numériquement.

Il est vrai que ce compte n’est plus tout à fait le même depuis cette série, mais on adore s’y replonger pour revivre cette histoire romantique. Comme le dit l’adage, “old but gold” !
